This modern version features a 6" shaft, unstructured toe box, and is made of a Horween Chromexcel using the roughout side. These M 43s are built around the Munson last. This last was developed by U. S. Army Doctor Edward Munson after studying over the feet of over 2000 solders, and was the military boot last from 1912 through the Korean War. The Munson last was designed
