Description
while the addition of 16% Roberta's Merlot helps fill out the mid-palate beautifully
Decadently rich
It has a very intense bouquet with blackberry
The overall impression of refinement is enhanced by the notably fine grain of the tannins and this is really lovely
intense and serious broad-shouldered flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration with ample amounts of dry extract that partially buffers the chewy and ripe tannins on the long and less austere than usual finish
Joseph Drouhin, Gevrey Chambertin Vintage:2020 while the addition of 16%(25 to 30% of the blend is from declassified 1ers). A ripe yet reasonably cool nose speaks of both red and dark berries along with plenty of forest floor and sauvage suggestions. I very much like the texture of the well detailed medium bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere and solidly complex finale. This persistent effort is a fine Gevrey villages.
