Description
What impresses is the fresh Chardonnay
I suspect that it will not improve with further bottle age but should hold steady for another decade
fig and clove-scented bouquet with more freshness than the whole of Pomerol combined
licorice and a kiss of barrique
A whiff of wood is present on the expressive and vaguely exotic nose that offers up notes of algae
Jean-Claude Bachelet, Chassagne Montrachet Macherelles Blanc other_regions What impresses is the freshThis is also quite ripe with a similar aromatic profile save for a hint of petrol. There is again excellent volume to the rich, succulent and suave flavors that terminate in a finish that again lacks much refinement. Still, there is both fine depth and persistence and this should drink well after only a few years of bottle aging while rewarding 5 to 8 years of it if desired.
