The mid-palate is quite supple and round with good concentration to the solidly complex middle weight flavors that possess good balance and length if not much in the way of refinement on the notably firm finish

I much prefer the 2010 La Gaffelière that I tasted the week previously

Bernard Morey, Puligny Montrachet Truffiere Vintage:2001 earth and ferrous-earth aromas are(1994 was the first vintage for this wine and it comes from a mix of 20 and 50 year old vines). Difficult as it was to believe, the 2001 Truffires is finer and purer still with simply exquisite white fruit and citrus aromas that lead to flavors that are equally suffused with an intense mineral stoniness. Initially, there is a touch of oak char but this quickly dissipates and the overall effect is mildly akin to rolling rocks around in your mouth yet
