Description
crushed rocks
explosive and structured on the palate
Bright ruby-red
lemon and linear finale that isn’t skinny but it’s presently a bit lean
but in 2008 the wine has gorgeous inner perfume allied to a level of pure juiciness that rounds out some of the rough edges that are at times present in this bottling
Quintarelli, Valpolicella Classico Superiore other_regions_italy crushed rocksThe 2003 is an unusually bold, ripe version of the Valpolicella Classico Superiore. Black cherries, plums, mocha and spices all flesh out in this exuberant wine. The warmth of the vintage is felt in the wines contours and early appeal. My suggestion is to drink the 2003 over the next few years. As always, the style is a bit eccentric, as the 2003 spent a good six years in cask. Antonio Galloni
